Can Daniel defeat his AFL (Australian Football League) opponents ??Just kidding…Daniel doesn’t play Australian football…But we are going to Australia for the summer!! And…we have been SO excited to give out/start conversations with FREE Gospel tracts from Living Waters!! Even though Daniel’s (imaginary) AFL team didn’t make it to the Olympics, I would encourage you to take advantage of these Gospel tracts that are specifically made to be a springboard for the Gospel during the Olympics this summer in Paris: Living Waters Olympics Gospel tract link--livingwaters.com/store/gospel-tracts/paris-million-dollar-bill/ So that way, even if you don’t end up in the Olympics either, you can use your everyday opportunities to bring up the Gospel to the lost around you! Speaking of Gospel opportunities…I have been SOO blessed to have one of the absolute GREATEST opportunities I have ever had teaching at an amazing homeschool co-op! I will explain more about it later, but for now I just wanted to show some pictures of my classroom, as well as some other educational events and evangelism opportunities we have had lately! Missions - us currentlyWhy did I bring up the Australian Football League earlier? Because my husband, Daniel, is Australian! He spent his life in Australia and he came over here with the hope of evangelizing, planting a church, and giving Scripture to an unreached tribe in Papua New Guinea that has no access to the Gospel and no Bible in their language. And…more details later…but we do plan to spend the whole summer in Australia!! Since I haven’t met any of Daniel’s family after 4 years of marriage, this trip is very exciting! For us, the desire is still to be missionaries to the unreached of Papua New Guinea, but we would want to go wherever the greatest need is. The need is certainly very great in bibleless contexts, because more languages DON’T have Scripture than those that do…less than 1,000 of 7,000 languages in the world have a completed Bible, not to mention a lack of biblical churches... Though we’re not sure how everything will look, we definitely want to do all we know to do to be able to help the unreached in a way that glorifies God… …and we know that that starts with training and evangelism right here! SeminaryDaniel is working hard through seminary! So thankful for his hard work!! He is taking Aramaic now, which has been helpful to consider when bouncing off ideas for my Hebrew class (the languages are very similar and Daniel knows Hebrew very well). The last break he had for the semester was at the same time as my co-op started, so that was absolutely perfect! His favorite class for this semester is a marriage and family counseling class! Homeschooling!!Yes, I know our children are young, but that doesn’t mean I can’t start homeschooling! Doing anything homeschool related with Taliah and even Moriah now has been SUCH a joy—and so has the co-op! And at that co-op…I have the great privilege to teach Biblical Hebrew and Fallacy Detective (a logic class)! Why is that such a joy?? It’s a joy because I’m able to share the Gospel and proclaim truth/subjects I’m passionate about to a group of youth that are soo incredible and eager to learn that I can’t even believe it! Why study Hebrew? Because the New Testament only makes sense with the foundation of the Old! Why study logic? Because God is logical, and though it’s our conscience that is our primary concern in evangelism, having logically sound reasoning is essential for a Gospel understanding—for yourself and for others! I could go on and on, but since I don’t want to lose your attention I’ll just quickly share the most important thing I would want someone to get out of this blog, and then close with prayer requests. Time is running out. You will never get this time back. This moment will be gone forever after you read it. What are you doing for Christ with your life? For me, even very good things like a homeschool co-op, or homeschooling in general, can be an idol. Even more ridiculous things like pens or pencils or making fun of Daniel’s Australian accent/differences can be an idol! What’s my point? You probably have different idols, but what we all have in common is sin against the Lord by not putting Him first and not loving others the way we are supposed to. That’s the Old Testament! That’s why Jesus died! That’s why He, being God, lived a sinless life, died, and rose again to save His people from Hell and allow us into a perfect Heaven! That’s why we have the New Testament! The New Testament is logical! It explains the only way one can truly be right with God—turning from sin to Christ! That’s why I’m so thankful to be able to share this good news in any venue that I’m given! I can’t wait to go to co-op again and to finally make it to Australia! Prayer Requests! |
