Wait…and we saw Kirk Cameron?Evangelism and an incredible experience!Where do I begin with coronation millions?! Because of the coronation of King Charles in England, Living Waters (our favorite ministry) used that world-wide event to do a bunch of INCREDIBLE evangelism! People around the world received millions of free Gospel tracts…and free books, in order to spread the Gospel in a creative way. Now that seminary is over for the semester, we were able to use that as an exciting opportunity to go share the Gospel in various places…including fun splash pads! Please take the time to read the back of the tract that I provided in the pictures - it explains all the essentials, from explaining our sin through the Law (lying, misusing God’s Name, etc.) to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, and His resurrection! And see this video!! Christian Commentary on the Coronation Livestream Event link: www.youtube.com/live/viQNiygxE6I?feature=share On top of that, we also got to see Kirk Cameron!! He came to our local library to read a children’s book he wrote…which served as a sort of “Patriotic” story-hour (as opposed to the ungodly story-hours that are happening across America). He gave the Law and the Gospel super clearly to a HUGE audience, and we were so excited to be able to promote what he’s doing! If you want to see his book, click this link! Kirk Cameron Monumental Presentation Explanation link: youtu.be/1p-CnfnsxK8 Missions - us currentlyAs I mentioned above, Daniel finished his second year of seminary! Yay! I’m so proud of him! In case you’re new to this blog, we are missionaries in training to Papua New Guinea. Missions is definitely at the front of our minds, in the sense of seeing the need and desiring to fill it to God’s glory, so that’s why we’re in training! We have some excited plans this summer to do with missions that I will explain in future blogs, but for now I want to encourage you to do something about missions yourself! Even if you can’t go “on the field” right now, you could go through a prayer guide like the one I have pictured above, and you could definitely be “practicing” by sharing the Gospel to those around you. What better use of your time? Consider sending or going…because…as John Piper says…there aren’t any other options for the Christian! Missions - around the worldHere’s an update for our mission organization currently… One missionary family is on furlough right now at our church, so it’s been a blessing to have them around. We were able to meet with another family from our church who just went out to Papua New Guinea to help with the logistics side of things. They will be helping another missionary family in a town called Madang to set up base there! This is exciting because it furthers the mission and enables future missionaries to stay in a tribe and focus on learning the language and culture so they can share the Gospel and plant a church in an unreached people group. Prayers appreciated for their travels and endeavors! Taliah! The big picture above is one of absolute favorite pictures of Taliah! Whether it’s at the local college campus or elsewhere, I’m so encouraged by Taliah’s willingness to hand out Gospel tracts! She’s growing so much, and I’m so proud of her! My favorite thing to watch is Daniel and Taliah together, doing something Gospel related! It’s such a breath of fresh air! Taliah’s learning! It’s also been really fun to start teaching Taliah various pre-school type concepts! Homeschooling is on my mind frequently, and I’m so encouraged by Taliah’s eagerness to learn! She can be active and learn through play, but she’s also old enough now to be able to sit down and color/start to write! It seems like it gets better and better as she gets older, and I’m so thankful that she’s growing up and learning so many new things each day! Any parenting challenges are completely worth it when I see that she seems to be growing and thriving in a way that I pray is pleasing to God! Seminary highlightsThough seminary is over now, Daniel definitely had a lot of work with finals! This picture is a random example of his work that I thought was funny, because his professor wanted him to do line diagrams of some pretty interesting phrases! Daniel will be doing lots of work to prepare for next semester, especially Greek, over the summer, so he’s definitely still very busy! He’s also working more, but even with all that he’s still making time for us and for sharing the Gospel, so I’m very grateful for that! It was also our anniversary this month, so we were able to spend a little time together without thinking much about seminary after the semester ended this month, so that was nice as well!! My college!Though Daniel is technically off seminary, I’m still taking classes over the summer, but I am looking forward to a lot of them! Though my favorite class (see the March 2023 blog on “Oral Transmission”) is over, I am still being blessed by the results of the class - a renewed focus on Bible memory, which includes listening to audio Bibles (that’s why I included the picture above). My classes this semester are on: 1) biblical counseling, 2) Ecclesiastes, 3) Revelation, 4) church history, and 5) contemporary ethics! It’s hard to say what I’m the most excited for, but it’s probably the contemporary ethics class, because I get to read an awesome book that I previously read a long time ago, and I already know that I have a great professor! In other news… Ministry HighlightDANIEL IS ON THIS ALBUM!!!! It’s a MUST listen! I will give a quick warning that the subject matter is “mature” (see the “spiritual advisory…biblical content” warning), but it’s an incredible testimony of one of our friends put to music…AND DANIEL’S PART IS SOOOO GOOD! It drives me to tears to think about my husband being part of something like this, especially so close to our anniversary when I’m already reminded of how much I love him! You muuuuuuust hear this! Daniel’s part is only a few minutes long anyway (though the entire thing isn’t very long either…so you could easily listen to the whole thing as well…)! You’ll be sooo encouraged and edified by this, so please listen, grab a tissue, and prepare to be encouraged and convicted by God’s Word! Decennium EP Spotify link: open.spotify.com/album/4zTMEeoe9bGje0FIawroWU?si=jzvjDWveS-m8OC3cLuWjyg (Daniel’s part is called “Words of Encouragement”) I just had to play it now! Taliah just excitedly cried, “Dada!” Prayer RequestsThank you for considering these prayer requests! Summer can always be challenging to find opportunities to share the Gospel due to the heat (people aren’t out as much in the daytime in Phoenix), but we’re praying for events that make up for it! The other prayer requests seem general, but they’re so applicable to just about every season of life! Parenting and missionary work are on our minds often! One more closing thought! Joining together for the sake of the Gospel! If you’re interested in going to an unreached people group or helping us along the way, please email us at [email protected].
God bless!
