…LA trip, local evangelism, and Daniel’s Florida trip! Are we waiting in line? Kind of…but waiting in line shouldn’t mean standing and doing nothing. Waiting in line should mean doing all we know to do to glorify God. Waiting in line should mean actively sharing the Gospel, actively growing as a family together, and actively taking opportunities to not be idle within the short breath of life God has given us. For us, waiting in line this year meant local evangelism opportunities, a great trip to LA, and a conference for Daniel in Florida through his seminary. Our opportunities in local evangelism have truly been incredible. From children’s museums to First Friday to ASU (college campus ministry), we have been able to have some great conversations with the lost. I’ve also been so blessed to see our daughters grow (see the last picture above this). This is NOT the same child! These pictures have been taken over 2 years apart of Taliah and Moriah wearing the same outfit in California! Wondering what the outfit says? Check this link: FullyFreeFilms Free Movie Link: https://livingwaters.com/movies/ Missions - current prayer requests! It has been a rough start of the year for many reasons, but we aren’t “growing weary of doing good” (Gal. 6:9)! In case you were wondering, we are not going to Papua New Guinea this year. We will not be raising support for any overseas trip. But, we are still considering going to Australia on our own (Daniel hasn’t been back to his homeland for almost four years now), so that is a prayer request! So, we are searching for opportunities locally to share the Gospel as we still desire to go to the unreached. The need is still there. Tribes are still asking for missionaries… Individuals are still dying without even hearing the Gospel… Bibleless peoples are still without Bibles… So we press on, because the road (and the work itself) is long, hard, and extremely difficult, but like we heard at a conference last summer (see previous Radius conference blog)—Christ is worth it! And we can still take advantage of the time we have here to speak God’s truth, whether at work or at play! We have been blessed to have MANY great opportunities at this park (that Taliah loves)! I love being able to transition from park-play to the sobering fact that everyone is going to die someday. The fact that God’s standard is perfect…that children playing in the park is evidence of even little ones being disobedient to their parents, lying, and blaspheming…and that Hell is the proper punishment for sin against God. But there is joy and hope in the Gospel—Jesus—God in the flesh—His sinless life, death, and resurrection! The Gospel should be enough to put a smile of joy (like Taliah’s) on the face of anyone who turns from their sin and trusts in Christ! Circumstances can be discouraging—but God knows what He’s doing—and He’s defeated death. He’s on the throne—so worrying is actually completely illogical! Seminary! Now, I know this picture certainly doesn’t look like seminary, but by the look on Daniel’s face I can tell that his phone is displaying Aramaic vocabulary!! It was really sad to have Daniel gone for a seminary conference, but it was a HUGE blessing to have so much fellowship from our church while he was gone. From our small group to other homeschooling moms to numerous other individuals, it was sad but bearable to have Daniel away! And it was an even BIGGER blessing to have him back! Daniel said his biggest takeaway from what was said at the conference was that “problem people” (who seem to distract from your ministry) are your ministry! He also shared that he had great fellowship and an overall great trip. That’s all great and and everything—but I’m SO, SO glad to have him back!! :D Exciting opportunities! Here are some more pictures from our LA trip! It was a great time to be able to share the Gospel on Huntington Beach as well as have great fellowship with some incredible believers that we stayed with and were blessed to be around at Grace Community Church. As you can see, the girls had fun too, and I’m so thankful that they were able to be with us and have a fun time together alongside us. I also wanted to briefly share that I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to be teaching at a homeschool co-op starting next month! This is a dream come true for me, so I’m VERY thankful, especially because of the classes I’ll be teaching: Biblical Hebrew and Fallacy Detective. If you’re thinking…what’s a fallacy…you’ll have to wait until next time! Here’s some basic prayer requests: Thank you for praying! |
